Is SSQ's "one step beyond" SEO strategy madness?

Further to the plus side of the debate, one observes that the SSQ website is replete with non sequitur listings of insurance companies featuring broken website links and, as of the publishing time of this blog post, outdated third party ratings whose main purpose appears to be to utilize the brand of the insurer in connection with the words "structured settlement quotes" to draw traffic to the SSQ website. Companies such as 21st Century Co. feature 2009 information, when 2012 information is available and the SSQ website in its current form was published in the summer of 2012. Furthermore many of the company name sdisplayed do not and did not ever issue structured settlement annuities making the motivation for their inclusion highly suspect.

Could SSQ make a valid complaint about everyone in the structured settlement industry that uses the generic words "structured settlement quotes".? Isn't it highly unlikely due to the generic nature of the term.? Recent years for example, EPS Settlements and one of its predecessor companies were each rebuffed in attempts to trademark the tagline "The Structured Settlement Company".? The term "structured settlement quotes" has been in commerical use for decades longer than SSQ has been in business. No trademark application is on file with the USPTO for the term.

Needless to say but you can add the above to the valid reasons that I do not trust SSQ, nor would I recommend the company to anyone
