Silent Hill Vs. Resident Evil Video Game Review

?Silent Hill and Resident Evil are 2 of the greatest horror video games of all time. But both of these games have very different styles of horror. Silent hill has a more spiritual and abstract style of horror. Resident Evil takes a more concrete hands on approach to the scares.
While Resident Evil has a more real world feel and setting.

?Silent Hill has a much more beautiful, fantasy like surreal setting. Many gamers who prefer fast pace, hard hitting action would choose Resident Evil?because Silent Hill often times, leaves gamers feeling like the action is too few and far apart.?But for me one of the strongest appeals of the Silent Hill series is the very ambiguous, and dream like state of the game. Silent Hill leaves many questions unanswer and takes your imagination to a whole new level. Silent Hill's characters are often times trapped somewhere between a dream,?hell, and an actual town and Silent Hill does a very good job of blending the lines of where one stops and the other begans.

I'm never quite sure of whether these characters are alive or dead.?You never quite know what's going on here.

?While both games have great music, and I believe music is very important to a games feel. It's no wonder both of these games continue to get hugh sales. The graphics on both of these games are designed alittle bit different as well. I?would say Silent Hill?has?the better display, but Silent Hill still seems to use the prerendered backgrounds, whereas the newer?Resident Evil games do not. The?newer RE games?have a more fluid and free display of animated graphics.

?Resident Evil seems to be a more mainstream game, and Silent Hill has more?of a cult following probably because the themes?in?Silent Hill?tend to creep gamers out alittle bit more.

This is probably why RE has 5 movies whereas SH only has?1. And to top it off,?many of the Silent Hill movie fans, didn't even know that Silent Hill was based on a video game. While I?personally don't think?Silent Hill will ever be as big of a game as Resident Evil is, I feel that Silent Hill gets the reward for my personal favorite because?Silent Hill takes you to a place, that you won't find anywhere else...?Which one is better ?
