Celebrate South Orange organizers, in conjunction with the South Orange Performing Arts Center, have announced the entertainment lineup scheduled for Celebrate South Orange 2012 on Saturday, June 16.

Entering its sixth year, the family-friendly downtown celebration has made a name for itself as South Orange, NJ?s signature annual community event.

This year?s entertainment comes courtesy of the Arts for All Festival at Celebrate South Orange, a brand-new partnership among Main Street South Orange, SOPAC, and The Baird. Arts for All will bring a full schedule of live local entertainment to the main stage area throughout the day, along with a juried craft show that will feature some of the best local painters, photographers, jewelers, and artisans. The celebration will culminate in the evening with a community dance party at the main stage.

The Arts for All Festival at Celebrate South Orange will kick off the prior week, on Friday, June 8, with a free performance by Lydia Johnson Dance, the dance company in residence at SOPAC. The troupe will perform a special preview performance of new and recent dances. The free performance will begin at 7:30 p.m.; seats are available on a first come, first seated basis.

Headlining the evening community dance party at CSO on Saturday, June 16, will be the Wisenheimers, a popular New Jersey pop, rock, and top-40 band playing a variety of upbeat, danceable hits from the last five decades, from 60s Motown and 70s disco through 80s New Wave and 90s Britpop to today?s modern chart-toppers. The performance will be held on the main stage area beginning at 6:30 p.m.; admission is free and no tickets are necessary.

In addition to the headlining performances, the main stage at CSO will host a variety of musical performers throughout the day beginning at 2:00 p.m. Featured entertainers?many of whom have roots in South Orange?include:

Cannes 2012: Michael Haneke Wins Palme d'Or -- Again

Surprising precisely no-one, Michael Haneke's universally acclaimed drama Amour has won the 2012 Palme d'Or at Cannes. The honor marks back-to-back wins for the revered filmmaker -- pictured above recreating a cheerful scene from his Piano Teacher with Isabelle Huppert -- after his last film, The White Ribbon, took out the prize in 2009. It's only the second time a director has won the Palme d'Or with successive films, the previous being Bille August in '88 and '92.

Perhaps less expected was the Grand Prix (or runner-up) going Matteo Garrone's Reality, a film which had divided many critics; Ken Loach, meanwhile, proved a reliable favorite, as his comedy The Angels' Share collected the Prix du Jury (or third place honors).

The American big-hitters -- including John Hillcoat's Lawless, Andrew Dominik's Brad Pitt-starrer Killing Them Softly and Wes Anderson's festival opener Moonrise Kingdom -- went away empty-handed, as did other films -- David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, Leos Carax's Holy Motors -- that drew wildly divergent responses.

There was good news for one such loved-and-loathed effort, however, with Post Tenebras Lux winning the festival's Best Director award for Carlos Reygadas. (The same prize that went to Nicolas Winding Refn for last year's Drive.)

Mads Mikkelsen was awarded Best Actor for his much-praised performance in Thomas Vinterberg's The Hunt, while Cristina Flutur and Cosmina Stratan shared Best Actress honors for their roles in Cristian Mungiu's Beyond the Hills

Benh Zeitlin's Beasts of the Southern Wild -- already a smash at Sundance earlier this year -- was further vindicated with the director winning Cannes' Camera d'Or, the major award for first-time filmmakers.

Jamal Lewis Broke: Ex-NFL Star Files for Bankruptcy

Ex-player joins long list of athletes who go broke after ending careers.

Another former pro athlete has gone broke.

Former Baltimore Ravens star running back Jamal Lewis filed for bankruptcy in an Atlanta court yesterday, according to TMZ.

He claims that he is in financial ruin and can't pay his eight-figure debt.

The shocking part is that he has $14.4 million in assets but also has $10.5 million debt.

While he is self-employed and earns $35k a month, he almost owes Bank of America $1 million, Mercedes Benz $113k and Chrysler $15k. Those are just 3 of his many creditors.

Lewis filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.

If you are suffering from chronic pain anywhere in your body, you will find that making even the simplest movements can be such a torture. Increased Oxygen Levels

It's Memorial Day weekend, the official start of the U.S. summer driving season, when, in an annual rite, Americans get mad as hell about energy.

The seasonal one-two punch of a surge in road trips and, typically, a rise in gasoline prices invariably gets Americans griping about an energy system they see as stacked against them. But as the righteous indignation rises along with the pain at the pump, it's worth taking a deep breath and remembering that today's energy dilemma isn't beyond Americans' control. Plenty of places around the globe have made big changes in their energy systems -- when they have decided they have no other choice.

The U.S. itself has embarked on an energy shift, and now the question is how far the shift will go. President Obama today is scheduled to visit a wind-turbine-blade factory in Iowa, a stop where he no doubt will tout the goal of a more sweeping American energy revolution. But America's energy challenge is in important ways unique, and so an American energy revolution would require a particular kind of strategy -- one that's ruthlessly economically efficient.

The map, though, is highly instructive about another, crucial, aspect of energy revolutions: what makes them happen. Around the world, the places that have achieved major energy shifts haven't done so because of environmental altruism or even, fundamentally, because of technological luck. They've done so because they've been hit with shocks to their fossil-fuel-based economies so jarring that they've concluded they needed to change in a big way. Crises, in other words, count.

Following the 1970s oil shocks, France shifted its electricity production largely from oil to nuclear power; Denmark improved its energy efficiency and then boosted development of wind power; and Brazil became a world leader in fueling a sizable number of its cars with ethanol. After the 1986 Chernobyl accident, which generated widespread fear in Germany about nuclear power, Germany began rolling out some of the world's most generous subsidies to for the solar industry.
